Used for internal AGMs and presentations, this system of three modular desks could be repositioned to support multiple room layouts and event formats.

Each desk was mounted on castors and incorporated electronically adjustable legs with programmable height presets. To make the units safe and stable during use, I developed a completely bespoke electronically controlled braking system using adapted pneumatic brake components. This required extensive development, integration and testing to create a dependable solution specifically for the desks.

I led the project through technical development, CNC programming, prototyping, a physical client presentation, full fabrication and on-site installation. Key engineering challenges included counterbalancing the front-heavy design, integrating the electronics, controlling the brightness of the internal LEDs and accommodating everything within strict height constraints.

The finished desks featured illuminated frosted-acrylic front panels, solid-surface worktops, Dibond detailing and powder-coated side panels—combining complex functionality with a refined, presentation-ready finish.
